Yoga
for Life in Dilworth's Studio
Yoga For Life
In Dilworth opened in June 1998 and moved to 1920-B Cleveland Avenue
in December of 2000. We now have a 1110 square foot studio, a full
wall of mirrors, windows and plants - a beautiful, clean, bright
space designed for yoga!!
We have created
what we hope is a very special space for Yoga!!
A place to get away from the stresses of life and learn a way of taking
care of and loving ourselves through the practice of Yoga.
We trust that
you will align, strengthen, tone and gently stretch your body, mind, & spirit
to make you feel better and perhaps look better!
To enhance the
practice of everyone at Yoga for Life In Dilworth:
Bring equipment you need:
Please bring: 2 thick blankets, or a blanket & a "sticky" mat.
One blanket or the mat is to lie on. The other is to fold to sit on & to
use as a "prop" for some postures. Beach towels are not thick
enough. We have mats & blankets available for purchase. To see our
selections, click here.
Dress appropriately:
Wear tights, shorts, or lightweight knit pants; leotard or t-shirt - nothing
that binds or is in the way (no jeans, tight belts, shoulder pads,
or big, floppy or thick shirts or sweaters; and bare feet.
Care of studio:
Please leave shoes on or under shelves provided. No shoes in studio!
Please use a mat or blanket to lie on at all times. We want to keep make-up,
hair & body oils off the carpet.
If you use studio's equipment, please return neatly to appropriate place
- ties & blankets folded, mats rolled, etc.
Care of yourself:
Bathroom is available from reception area. Bring a water bottle - it is
desirable to drink before and after a yoga practice, and during class
if you need it. Bring valuables (keys, wallet, etc.) into the studio.
Let us know
if you have physical limitations that will affect your practice.
Considerations
of others:
Please, no perfume or anything else with a scent. Many
people are sensitive. Breathing is an important part of yoga
practice, and we need air free of aromas. Keep this in mind
if you are a smoker.
No cell phones. Rings are disrupting to class.
Other classes
in session:
When you arrive, another class may be in session. Please enter quietly
and do not open door to studio until other class ends.
Ask questions!
Let us know what we can do to make Yoga a wonderful experience for
body, mind, & spirit!
Yoga
is for Life!! "Yoga is coming home to yourself!" Enjoy!
